Ex-British Premier, Dikshit discuss child education

Brown requested Dikshit to take effective steps in meeting Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in education by 2015. He particularly stressed on the need for ensuring quality in higher and technical education apart from school education.

A delegation of Global Business Consortium also met Dikshit along with Brown.

Delhi Higher and Technical Education Minister A K Walia, Education Minister Kiran Walia and Chief Secretary P K Tripathi were also present at the meeting.

Brown also offered technical know-how in enhancing quality of education and promoting research. He said leading business houses should be involved to make education useful and purposeful for the future.

 

Dikshit, on her part, explained steps initiated by her government for expansion of skill development programmes in the city.
