Former Congress MP from Nagpur Gev Awari has accused senior party leader Vilas Muttemwar of indulging in anti-party activities and has written to party president Rahul Gandhi.
However, Awari has expressed shock after the letter, dated January 30, surfaced in local media today.
"I am shocked and surprised that this letter has been leaked. I, with great pain and anguish in my heart, had written this letter to the Congress president on January 30 on the occasion of the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi," he said.
Awari said Muttemwar, also a former Nagpur MP, has been involved in anti-party activities for many years and manipulating postings in connivance with district Congress Committee president.
He alleged that Muttemwar was hand in glove with the BJP.
Muttemwar was not available for comment.
