The ruling CPI(M) today inducted former MPs, P Rajeev and K N Balagopal into the party's state secretariat.
At present, Rajeev and Balagopal are serving as " district secretaries of the party in Ernakulam and Kollam respectively.
A meeting of the state committee, chaired by senior leader E P Jayarajan, inducted them into the 16-member panel at the party headquarters, A K G Centre here, a party release said.
Other existing members including Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, P Karunakaran, P K Sreemathi, E P Jayarajan, T M Thomas Isaac, Elamaram Kareem, A K Balan, M V Govindan, Baby John, Anathalavattam Anandan, T P Ramakrishnan, M M Mani and K J Thomas would continue, it said.
CPI(M) politbureau members S Ramachandran Pillai and M A Baby were present during the meeting, the release added.
