Ex-serviceman held for murdering his mother

An ex-serviceman allegedly shot dead his mother at their house at Kommamuru village in Guntur district today reportedly over a property dispute, police said.

Shaikh Mastan Vali (36), who was in an inebriated condition, had a fight with his mother Fajuloon in the morning hours, they said, adding that in a fit of rage he opened fire on his mother through his revolver.

He was arrested from the spot, police added.
