Press Trust of India Jaipur
Special Operation Group today quizzed RPSC Chairman Habib Khan Goran in connection with an alleged leakage of papers of competitive exams, including RAS- Preliminary Examination 2013, held by the Commission.

"We had to clarify certain things from the Chairman who appeared before us for examination of the facts. He was later allowed to go," SP, SOG, Surendra Kumar said here.

The SOG team had taken into its possession some documents, from the RPSC office recently and called the Chairman to its Jaipur office for verification of some facts.

Goran, when contacted, said he was cooperating in the investigation.

He said the RPSC found several doubtful facts in the RAS-Pre results declared in June this year following which the Commission met the DGP and demanded a thorough inquiry into the matter which led to arrest of some gang members involved in leakage of the papers.

"We found that members from a certain community and from a particular place (district) secured top rankings in the results which raised doubts," he said.

After the investigation was handed over to the SOG, eight persons including one Amrit Meena, were arrested earlier this month who were running a racket in the state.

The gang leader who hails from Patna is out of the grip of the SOG. They provided papers to their relatives, friends and also sold it to others.

The RPSC has already cancelled the RAS-Pre examination.
