Excise & Taxation Commissioner R S Negi appointed HPSC member

Himachal Pradesh Government today appointed Excise and Taxation Commissioner R S Negi as member of the state Public Service Commission.

Negi, an 1996 batch IAS officer of Himachal cadre, was due to retire in December 2014.

He would hold the office till attainment of 62 years of age.

Negi has held several important assignment including Deputy Commissioner of Sirmaur and special secretary (Education). He would assume office on August 16.
