Police today recovered eleven detonators and 24 gelatin sticks from a bag found dumped roadside in Nashik Road area, police said.
The bag was spotted along Central Railway road in the area, said an official from Nashik Road police station.
He said the explosives are typically used for digging well.
"We have registered an offence against unknown persons under the Explosive Substances Amendment Act 2001 and investigation is in progress," the official said, adding that the gelatin sticks were manufactured in a firm in Nagpur.
