Explosives seized in Palghar district of Maharashtra

Police today seized a large stock of explosives at Ganeshpuri in the neighbouring Palghar district and detained three persons.

Senior inspector Venkat Andale of local crime branch, Thane rural police, said a patrolling team of police seized seven boxes of gelatin sticks, 1,200 detonators and 150 kg of ammonium nitrate from a Tavera car this evening.

Three occupants of the vehicle were detained. Further probe is on, he said.
