Extra marital affair: Man commits suicide

A 34-year-old man allegedly committed suicide after apparently being pressurised for marriage by his paramour, police said today.

Randip Singh, a resident of Dabua Colony here and father of a 10-year-old son, was found hanging from the ceiling of his room yesterday, they said. Singh was working as a deputy manager in a private bank.

In the complaint filed with Saran police station, victim's brother, Amandip Singh, said Randip was having extra-marital affair with a woman.

Amandip alleged that the woman used to insist his brother to get married with her and unable to bear the pressure, Randip took the extreme step.
 

Based on his complaint, abatement of suicide case under Sec 306 of IPC has been registered against the woman, Investigating Officer ASI Jaichand said.

Police have started the probe and were checking the call details of the deceased, he added.
