) A factory worker died while crossing a railway track after being hit by a train here, police said today.
Vinod Kushwaha (35), a resident of Dulbhug village used to work at a private factory in Raniya. Last evening he was crossing the railway track when he was hit by the train, following which he died on the spot, they said.
According to the villagers, Kushwaha was talking on his mobile phone due to which he could not hear the sound of the coming train. But police has denied having any such knowledge.
The deceased's family has been informed and his body has been sent for post-mortem, police said, adding that the case is being investigated.
