Fake cough syrup manufacturing unit busted

According to Niwari SHO Shahnazar Ahmad, 550 bottles of the fake syrup were recovered along with colour, equipment and raw material used in the manufacture of the drug, during the raid that was carried out on Saturday night.

The person allegedly behind the dodgy operation, one Sachin, a resident of Delhi, has been apprehended by police.

The raid was carried out after a complaint by a local manager of a pharmaceutical major.
