Fake currency deposited in RBI branch, case registered

Police have booked unknown persons for depositing fake currency notes having face value of Rs 11,000 in exchange to old currency at a branch of Reserve Bank of India here.

Manager of the RBI branch filed the complaint yesterday with Gandhi Nagar police station against unknown persons for exchanging fake notes between July 1 to December 31 last year, police said.

An FIR was registered under relevant sections of IPC and the matter is under investigation, police said.
