Fake Facebook account of Haryana minister created, case lodged

"Some anti-social elements have been misusing the social networking site by creating my fake Facebook ID," Cooperation and Housing Minister Satpal Sangwan said, speaking near Charkhi Dadri in Bhiwani district.

The minister said he was using the Facebook platform to redress grievances of the people by directly contacting them.

"Some people are getting nervous because of my increasing popularity and it is only because of this reason, they are trying to defame me," he said.

Sangwan said his political secretary has lodged a case in this regard and the police are investigating the matter.

He also stressed for stringent laws to deal with cases of cyber crimes and punish those involved in them.
