Farmer beaten to death by cousins over land dispute

A farmer was allegedly beaten to death by his cousins over a land dispute at Malook Chackk village under Dorangla police station today.

According to police, the deceased, Darshan Singh (70), had a dispute with his cousins over a small piece of land which had led to verbal spats between them.

Today, a clash broke out between Darshan and his cousins Mohinder Singh and Shingra Singh who allegedly started beating him up mercilessly, the police said.

He was rushed to hospital, where the doctor declared him brought dead.

A case has been registered in this regard and a hunt is on to nab the accused, who were said to be absconding.
