Farmer dies after allegedly consuming spurious liquor

A farmer died in the Sachendi area here today after allegedly consuming spurious liquor, police said.

Sachendi, station officer, Jai Prakash Sharma said that the aggrieved family alleged that Ram Singh (50) died after consuming spurious liquor.

Police claimed to have detained a woman for allegedly selling illicit liquor.

Sharma said the body of the deceased was sent for post- mortem adding that investigations were on.
