Farmer killed by youths

A farmer was allegedly

bludgeoned to death by four youths when he tried to stop them from stealing crops from his field in Shamli district, police said today.

The victim, Shabbir (60), of Palheri village under Gharipukhta police station was attacked by four youths when he tried to stop them from stealing beans from his field, they added.

Police are on the lookout for the absconding accused.
