The BJP Kisan Morcha today said farmers from Punjab and Haryana would submit a memorandum to their respective Governors in support of various demands, including assured source of monthly income and implementation of recommendations of the National Commission on Farmers.
Farmers from Haryana will assemble at Ambala and those from Punjab at Dera Bassi tomorrow and head towards Chandigarh to submit the memorandums, BJP Kisan Morcha national president Om Prakash Dhankar said here.
"Except urea, all other inputs in farming are in the control of multinational companies. In the past 15 years, 2.5 lakh farmers have been forced to commit suicide as paddy and wheat no more supplement their income," he said.
