Three persons, including a man and his four-year-old son, died after a speeding jeep hit their motorcycle at Timbi village near Halol town in Panchamahal district near here today, police said.
"Three persons, including a father-son duo, died on the spot when an over-speeding jeep, coming from the opposite direction hit the motorbike on which they were travelling at Timbi village near Halol town," a police station officer (PSO) said.
The deceased were identified as Bakabhai Jalubhai Rathwa (32), his son Rahul (4) and their family friend Rajubhi Faliya (16). They were from Mandvi village near Halol town in Panchmahal district.
Efforts are on to nab the driver of the jeep, who fled from the spot after the accident, the PSO said.
The bodies were sent for post-mortem and a case of rash driving was registered against the unidentified person.
