A father-son duo was awarded life imprisonment by a local court for killing a 50-year-old woman four years ago.
Additional District Judge, D P N Singh awarded life imprisonment to Shivji Turha and his son Umesh yesterday for strangulating Gahlia Devi at Bansdeeh Road on November 14, 2011 and looting her ornaments and other belongings.
The FIR in the matter was lodged by the victim's nephew Ramesh at Bansdeeh police station.
The court also imposed fine of Rs 10,000 on the convicts.
