Police today claimed to have solved a murder case of a seven-year-old girl here.
During the investigation, the victim's father, identified as Hans Raj and his brother Umesh Chouhan were found involved and arrested at Maharaj Nagar village here, police said.
SP (Crime) Rakesh Jolly told reporters here that during investigation, police found that the girl, Swati, was shot dead by her father and his brother, and the duo falsely implicated five other people in the case.
Swati was shot dead in village Maharaj Nagar on August 27 and her father had lodged an FIR against five people, he said.
During the investigation all five accused were found innocent and the victim's father and his brother confessed that they had named people falsely, police claimed.
