Female medical student commits suicide

A 24-year-old female post graduate medical student allegedly commited suicide by hanging herself from ceiling of her hostel room at Nallakunta here today, police said.

"Dr Madhavi, hailing from Warangal district of Telangana, who had joined a private hospital here and staying in a hostel, hanged herself," they said.

A suicide note purportedly written by the victim held one Sarojini, a consultant doctor in the same hospital, responsible for taking the extreme step, ACP (Kachiguda Division) S Sudhakar said.

A case of abetment to suicide was registered against Sarojini, police said adding that further probe is on.
