The Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie and her actor husband Josh Duhamel have welcomed their first child together.
The couple named their son Axl Rose, which is most likely a homage to one of Fergie's favorite bands of all-time -- Guns 'N Roses, famously fronted by Axl Rose, reported Us magazine.
"Fergie is a huge Guns 'N Roses fan - one of her career highlights has been performing and recording with Slash - so Axl makes perfect sense," a source close to the singer said.
The 38-year-old singer and Duhamel had been prepping for the big day for a while and arrived at their VIP maternity suite thoroughly prepared for the child-birth and a stay at hospital after.
It has been reported that the new parents also took on the whole process admirably and had been thoroughly prepared for what to expect for a number of weeks.
Duhamel was reportedly seen casually chatting with staff whilst his wife was prepped and made to feel at home; the same maternity unit used recently by Kim Kardashian and NBA star Dwight Howard.
Fergie met and began dating Duhamel in 2004 and the duo got married in 2009.
