Finance agent ends life over debt

A 40-year-old man working with a private finance company committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree at Kherali village here, the police said today.

The victim, Mahavir Dhakad, was under debt. He took the extreme step last evening, Aashish Bhargav, circle-in-charge, Baran Sadar police station, said.

He was reportedly duped by private finance agencies to the tune of Rs 8 lakh to Rs 10 lakh, the officer said.

The body was handed over to the family after postmortem, Bhargav added.
