Finance Commission team to visit Punjab

A team of the 14th Finance Commission will be on a three-day visit to Punjab starting September 5.

The 17-member team, headed by Chairman Dr Y V Reddy, will meet the representatives of rural and urban local bodies and those from the trade and industrial sector of the state, an official spokesperson said here today.

It will also hold a meeting with Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, his cabinet colleagues and officers of the state, he said.
