A 46-year-old financer was today shot dead by unidentified men at Thothar village near Dakha town, around 30 km from here.
Jagraj Singh was returning home, riding a bicycle, when the assailants fired two shots from a close range, killing him on the spot, DIG Ludhiana police range S K Kalia said.
Besides financing, Jagraj was also running a real estate business, the DIG said.
Police is looking at different possibilities, including personal enmity and business rivalry, as the reason behind the murder, Kalia said, adding a case of murder has been registered against unnamed persons.
