An FIR was today registered against five policemen for assaulting a home guard in September last year.
Home Guard Jagveer was assaulted by the then SHO of Baldeo police station Shishu PalYadav, Sub-Inspector Balveer Singh, Constable Gurvesh Kumar and two other policemen on the intervening night of September 1 and 2, according to a complaint filed by Jagveer's father.
The FIR was today registered against the five on the directions of chief judicial magistrate. The matter would be probed and action taken against those found guilty, SP (Rural) Arun Kumar Singh said.
