FIR against five for cow slaughter in UP

An FIR for slaughtering a cow has been filed against five persons by the Vishva Hindu Parishad here today.

The patron of Sareni division of VHP, Munnu Lal, in a complaint alleged that five persons slaughtered a cow in a house on November 27 and also shot its video which they uploaded on WhatsApp, Superintendent of Police N Kolanchi said.

The complainant presented the video as an evidence, the SP said, adding that a case has been lodged against the accused and investigations were on.

The VHP activists also staged a protest outside the Saraini Police Station this morning against the incident.
