An FIR was registered today against JD-U Lok Sabha member Mangni Lal Mandal for allegedly assaulting his first wife and son.
Deputy Superintendent of Police of Phulparas N K Pandey said that FIR was registered against the MP from Jhanjharpur on the basis of the complaint by his first wife and son.
The son alleged that on July 31 when the MP had visited his village in Phulparas, he and his mother went to him to seek money, but he got angry and along with his second wife, her son and a few close supporters started assaulting them.
The DSP said the matter was being investigated.
