Fire at Beliaghata

A fire broke out in a plastic

godown at Beliaghata in the eastern part of the city this evening.

The fire broke out at 7.00 pm in the godown on Beliaghta Main Road, Fire Brigade sources said.

Twenty fire engines are at the spot to bring the blaze under control, the sources said.

Traffic on the arterial road has been closed to ensure safety of people, police sources said.

There is no report of any injury to any person, the police said.

The cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.
