Fire breaks out at railway godown in Asansol

A fire broke out at a railway godown at Asansol in West Burdwan district today, Fire Brigade officials said.

The fire broke out in the godown located behind the office of the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) at around 7.30 am, they said.

Three fire tenders rushed to the spot and extinguished the flames.

Preliminary investigations suggest that electrical short circuit was the cause of the fire, they added.
