A major fire broke out today in the tenth floor of a commercial high-rise building in northwest Delhi's Netaji Subhash Place area but there was no report of any casualty.
The fire started at around 4.30 PM and as many as 25 fire tenders apart from a two skylift machines were pressed into service by the Fire Brigade to control the blaze, a Fire official said.

The fire broke out at the Pearls Business Park building in Netaji Subhash Place. Almost all offices in the building were closed today as it was a Sunday, otherwise the situation could have turned worse, the official said.
During the fire operation, all cars parked in the parking lot of the building were moved away and nearyby buildings had to be evacuated.
The fire, whose exact cause is yet to be ascertained, started from a tenth floor office and soon spread to the other floors.
No fire fighter could go inside so two skylift machines, had to be deployed. It took fire fighters over three hours to douse the flame, following which a cooling operation was launched, the official said.
The police have registered a case in connection with the incident and investigation is underway, a senior police official added.
A senior fire official said that the building fire safety system was found to be non-functioning.
Earlier in the day, a minor fire was reported in the ground floor of a building in southwest Delhi's Matiala area while an online examination was in progress.
The fire brigade personnel reached the spot soon and contained the fire within a few minutes, the fire official said.

firefighters at hospital, termed the incident as "unfortunate" and said that prima facie, there were no procedural lapses noticed on the part of firemen in tackling the incident.
Compensation to the tune of Rs 1 crore is given to kin of uniformed services personnel killed on active duty, as per the Delhi government's policy.
"All aspects related to the incident will be examined and thereafter, a decision on compensation will be taken," an official said.
Hari Om, who belonged to Kakrola village in Dwarka Sector 16 here, is survived by his wife and two children.
Hari Singh Meena hailed from Rajasthan and his body has been taken there for last rites. He is survived by his wife and three children, including a five-year-old son.
