Fire destroys mother, child

: A mother and her daughter were burnt to death and their house was gutted at Anyia village near here last night.

They were identified as 22-year-old Taba Yaki and her 26-month-old daughter Taba Appung, the police said.

Though a fire tender had arrived from Naharlagun fire station, it was too late.

The cause of the fire is suspected to be aan LPG cylinder blast.
