Firefighters made quick work of
dousing a small fire that broke out at a hosiery workshop at Jorabagan in the northern part of the city this morning, officials said.
"Fire broke out at around 8.50am today at a hosiery workshop on the Manik Bose Lane of Duttapara of Jorabagan area," a fire brigade officer told PTI.
The fire was put off within ten minutes by five fire engines which were rushed to that place, the officer said adding that nobody was injured and the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.
