The first swine flu death of the current winter was reported in state today.
A 32-year-old woman, Laxmi Priya, from Mashobra near here died at Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital this afternoon.
She was admitted to IGMC hospital on Wednesday with severe Pneumonia and she tested positive for Swine Flu yesterday.

"It was the first case of Swine Flu at IGMC this winter. The woman hailed from Bihar and was working as labourer at a nearbyresort," said Senior Medical Superintendent at IGMC hospital, Dr Ramesh Chand.
He said the woman was sick for many days and was brought to the hospital with severe Pneumonia and was put on ventilator yesterday.
Official sources said two suspected cases of Swine Flu , tested negative today.
The district health authorities have, meanwhile, formed the rapid response team for contact tracing in the village and around and have started distributing the prophylactic medicines for precaution.
