Three Tamil Nadu Fishermen who landed nar Jaffna after their country boat went adrift in bad weather conditions while fishing in a country boat on last month returned to Karaikal port today.
The fishermen from nearby hamlets of Nagapattinam who ventured into the sea on Nov 26. Their boat which went adrift due to bad weather and rough sea, landed near Jaffna sea shore a couple of days later.
The Sri Lankan government on proper inquiry had contacted the Indian Embassy who handed over them to Indian Coast Guard.
Karaikal Coast Guard commandant Uddhal Singh handed them over to Nagapattinam Assistant Director of Fisheries Sivakumar.
