Five arrested for consuming drugs in Punjab

Punjab Police have arrested five persons for allegedly consuming drugs in a bus here.

The accused, identified as Mandip Singh, Sandip Kumar, Harnek Singh, Lakhwinder Singh, and Amandip Kumar, were arrested yesterday when they were consuming drugs in a stationary bus here, police said.

A lighter and one gram heroin was seized from their possession, they said.

A case has been registered under relevant sections of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, police said.
