Five persons have been arrested in connection with the killing of a man, who allegedly attempted raping a minor girl in Hanumangarh district, police said today.
53-year-old Trilok Singh was lynched last week by locals when he brought a seven-year-old girl to his house in Sangaria area and was trying to rape her.
"We have arrested Michal, Nanak Singh, Darshan Singh, Surjeet Singh and Malkiyat Singh in connection with the murder yesterday", SHO Sangaria police station Bhanwardan Singh said.
Twenty accused are still absconding, he said.
