Five boys suffer burn injuries during Muharram procession

Five boys received serious burn injuries after the flag being carried by them in the Muharram procession came in contact with a high tension wire here, police said today.

Five boys, leading the Tazia procession to Karbala for burial yesterday, were carrying a flag tied to a metallic pole which came in touch with a high tension wire near the Ganga bridge railway crossing, police said.

The five suffered burn injuries and were admitted to a hospital from where two in serious condition were rushed to Kanpur hospital, they added.
