Altogether five candidates are in the fray for the February 13 by-election to Liromoba assembly seat in West Siang district.
The five candidate are Nyamar Karbak of the Congress, Bai Gadi of the BJP and three Independent candidates - Lijum Ronya, Johny Tali and Raksap Yomcha, an Election official said.
Karbak, a first timer, is the president of Arunachal Pradesh Youth Congress.
Gadi had unsuccessfully contested the 2004, 2009 and 2014 assembly elections from the constituency.
The by-election was necessitated following untimely demise of former chief minister Jarbom Gamlin who won the seat thrice in a row.
