Five dead after boat capsizes in Wainganga river

As many as five persons have died as a boat carrying 30 villagers capsized mid-river near Umarwada Ghat of Wainganga river this evening.
Five bodies have been recovered, while two persons have been admitted to Tirora's sub-district hospital in a critical condition.
The incident took place around 5.30 pm.

Administrative officials from Tirora and Tumsar reached the spot and carrying out rescue operations.
The incident occurred when a boat carrying some 30 villagers from Tumsar and Mohadi tehsil overturned mid-way to Ghatkuroda village of Tirora tehsil.
The tehsildar has confirmed recovery of five bodies out of which three have been identified as Vishal Rajesh Deshkar (16) a resident of Chotta Gondia, Poornima Tarachand Bagde (15) a resident of Umarwada village and Kailash Tejram Kamble (27) of Tumsar.
