At least five 'kawariyas' were injured when a bus rammed into them on the Gonda-Faizabad road, police said Tuesday.
Superintendent of Police Lallan Singh said the 'kawariyas' (devotees of Lord Shiva) were going to Prithvinath Temple for 'jalabhishek' after collecting water from the Saryu River in Ayodhya when the accident took place Monday night.
While four of them were discharged after first aid, one of them was seriously injured, police said.
The driver of the bus has been detained and is being interrogated, police said.
