Five highway robbers held

Five members of an inter-state gang of highway robbers were arrested in Ganjam district today, the police said.

The five were arrested from the Badaghati forest along NH-16 on Sunday and two bombs, sharp weapons, some explosive materials, iron rods, five mobile phone sets and Rs 10,000 and a car were recovered from them, they said.

Police is searching for other members of the gang and investigating their involvement in crimes in Odisha and outside, he said.
