Five killed in road accident in Aligarh

Five people were killed and seven injured when their vehicle overturned into a roadside ditch in Aligarh district this morning, police said.

The accident took place on the Charra-Atrauli road when the canter in which the victims were travelling overturned and fell into the ditch, they said.

The deceased have been identified as Mohar Singh (40), Havaldar (35), Mahipal (40), Raju (35) and Jitendra (40), from Aligarh and Etah districts, police said.

The injured have been admitted to a local hospital.
