Four children and their mother sustained serious burn injuries when their home caught fire in the early hours today in village Dayalpur, near Kurukshetra, the police said.
They said a gas cylinder in the house caught fire and family members sustained the burns.
Residents of the village rushed the injured to the district civil hospital from where they were referred to PGIMER at Chandigarh.
The blaze was brought under control by the fire department officials, who reached the spot from Kurukshetra.
Condition of three of the injured was stated to be critical, the police said.
