Five of a family injured in acid attack

Five of a family, including two children, sustained burn injuries after a relative threw acid on them at their residence in Tadtada here, police said today.

SP Atul Saxena said the accused attacked them last night after he mistook a comment by one of the victims on a TV personality to be on a woman in his family.

"One of the victims made the comment while watching a TV serial. The accused overheard it and barged into their house to attack them," he said.

The victims are admitted at the district hospital. The children's condition is serious, police said.
