A local court has awarded 10 years of rigorous imprisonment to five persons in a seven-year-old attempt to murder case.
Additional District Judge Brijendra Kumar Singh awarded 10 years rigorous imprisonment to Kamal Dev, Rajkishore, Manoj, Virendra and Ompal yesterday for attacking Rakesh Singh on May 2, 2006 in Parsaia village in Haldi area.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on each of the convicts.
The incident was stated to be a fallout of old enmity.
