Five sentenced to 10 years RI in ganja smuggling case

A Special Court for Essential Commodities today sentenced five persons, including four women, to ten years rigorous imprisonment in a "Ganja Smuggling case".
Special court judge Ganesan said charges had been proved against them by police and also imposed a fine of Rs one lakh each on them.
The five were arrested when they were smuggling 25 kg of ganja in an autorickshaw at Kulithalai in Karur district and cases were registered against them on July 1, 2013.
