Five spotted deer run over on National Highway
Five spotted deer were run over by an unidentified vehicle on Salem-Kochi Highway near Avanashi in neighbouring Tirupur district today.
Police said the deer might have come in search of water in the early hours when the mishap occurred.
They said deer used to come to Vannathankarai pond at nearby Thekkalur to drink water.
