Five wanted criminals were arrested today with arms and cash from two different places in Bihar's Darbhanga district.
"Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by DSP Dilip Kumar Jha raided Basant village in Jale police station and caught raid handed the most wanted Nagender Sah alongwith Rajesh Paswan, Nand Kishore Sah and Mukesh Sah," Senior Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj said.
The police seized three country-made pistols as many live cartridges, 22 mobile phones, one motorcycle and Rs 60,000 cash from them, he said.
He said criminals had gathered at a place and planning to murder a Samastipur-based businessman when they were caught.
An another wanted criminal Nityanand Jha was arrested by Manigachi thana in-charge Anjani Kumar.
Acting on a tip-off, Kumar raided the house of Nityabnand Jha under the same police station and arrested on the spot.
The criminal was absconding since 2011 after killing three persons and looting Rs two lakh from staff of a petrol pump in Manigachi.
