Flood control room set up at Andhra Bhawan in Delhi

A round-the-clock control room has been set up at the Andhra Pradesh Bhawan here to assist people from the state affected by floods in Jammu and Kashmir.

People from the state who require help can contact the helpline number 011-23384188.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Special Representative at New Delhi K Rama Mohana Rao today met Minister of State in PMO Jitendra Singh and urged him to issue necessary directions to the J-K government to extend all help to persons belonging to Andhra Pradesh.

Around 60 students are held up due to heavy floods in Jammu and Kashmir, an official release here said.
 

Rao is also in touch with authorities in Jammu and Kashmir to rescue the stranded students at the earliest.

"All the students are in Srinagar. They are safe at a college premises at Srinagar," he said.
